Miami from the Sky

HistoryMiami Museum’s extensive photography collection includes thousands of aerial photographs that document Miami’s history from a unique perspective. Miami from the Sky showcases a selection of the museum’s best aerial photographs dating from throughout the 20^th century, with a focus on Miami’s cityscape, events, attractions, development, and the built and natural environments. Featuring images from photographers like Richard B. Hoit, Chris Hanson, and Tim Chapman, this exhibition includes 100 photographs, archival footage from the Wolfson Archives at Miami-Dade College, and aerial photography cameras.

Located at the Miami International Airport, the Hall of Aviation features exhibitions that explore various aspects of Miami’s long-standing fascination with flight.
